Description

The Medical Grand Challenge (MGC) is a medical innovation program started by the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS Medicine). It aims to encourage medical students to identify unmet healthcare needs and to work collaboratively with students from other faculties to form interdisciplinary teams to explore creative and out-of-the-box solutions to meet these needs. This is a year-long challenge culminating in the Grand Finale event in August of the following year.
The team projects will be evaluated and scored for business strategy, creativity, design quality and healthcare impact by an esteemed panel of judges. 
Our Grand Finale Event, the most anticipated event of the competition, will be held on 21st August 2021. Grand Prize: $20,000

2nd Prize

Second prize: $15,000

3rd Prize

Third prize: $10,000

People's Choice Award

Prize award: $4,000. This award recognizes the project which has garnered the greatest number of votes from the audience during the Grand Finale event.

Social Responsibility Award

Prize Award: $3,000. This award is awarded as an encouragement to deserving local projects to continue their venture into developing marketable and applicable medical technologies for Singapore healthcare.
