The NUS Centre for Cancer Research (N2CR) Functional Precision Medicine Asia Symposium will be held in Singapore on Tuesday, 14 November 2023. This meeting will showcase the growing field of functional precision medicine in Asia, focusing on the phenotypic measurement of tumour arising from translational research and its intersection with clinical practice. In the past decade, we have made huge progress towards applying multi-omics approaches to match cancer patients to the best treatments. Such approaches have been beneficial yet limited to small, focused populations for very specific targeted agents. On the other hand, ex vivo drug sensitivity has been long established but neglected approach for decades as predictor of patient response. In the last 5 years, emergence of newer technologies for quantitative phenotypic analysis and patient-derived avatar models exploited to exhibit true clinical evidence has strengthened the potential for functional precision medicine. We are proud to kick off the first Asia based event by bringing together leaders in the field of functional precision medicine to discuss how various functional readouts can result into better target identification as well as treatment prediction.
Scientific researchers from academic institutions (A*Star, NUS, NUH, Duke-NUS, SGH) and industry at all levels from Singapore as well as the rest of Asia.

Society of Functional Precision Medicine, Sf(PM)
The mission of the Society is to improve patient care and outcomes by facilitating implementation of functional assays into clinical care. The purposes are to foster research and development of functional precision medicine solutions across medicine; to accelerate the dissemination of new and relevant research findings among interested parties; to promote education and training about functional precision medicine; to foster solutions for clinical testing of functional precision medicine approaches; and to improve efficiency of adoption of functional precision medicine solutions through interaction with academia, regulatory bodies, industry, and patients.
