Efforts to mitigate and adapt to climate change must persist, even amidst the complexities and challenges of global geopolitics. Now more than ever, investors must play a pivotal role in addressing climate change effectively and equitably for all stakeholders involved. Climate investments on a massive scale are needed and while the E in ESG investing movement has received much attention and backing, the investing community is going through its own journey. In this presentation, Mr Munib Madni will share his view on how investors are not the first to have gone through a realisation of their responsibility towards the environment. He will also identify other heroes of the environmental movement who have got us this far and how investors now need to play their part. He will also explore the challenges investors face, and some potential outcomes.
Mr Munib Madni has nearly 30 years of investment experience, beginning with roles in Australian equities at Equitilink Investment Management and Aberdeen Asset Management. In 2005, he joined Morgan Stanley Investment Management in Singapore, holding roles such as Chief Investment Officer Asia and Co-PM of the Active International Allocation Strategy. After leaving in 2018, he founded Panarchy Partners, guided by his Panvesting philosophy.
