In view of National Day celebrations, the LKCNHM is launching a brand new paid outdoor walk at a special rate! There will be two runs of this walk this year. Join us as we retrace the footsteps of British naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace in the town area of Singapore!
Wallace is best known for being the co-discoverer of the theory of evolution by natural selection. In the mid 1800s, he spent 8 years travelling in the Malay Archipelago and visited Singapore four times during this period. Learn about the possible human connections he had made during his time in the Malay Archipelago, as well as the history of the landmarks he visited during his time in the town area, including the hotel he had likely stayed at!
