The team has partnered with the anaesthesia department of KK Women’s Hospital to deliver an automated rostering system. The current system involves highly manual steps relating to data transfer, leave approval as well as roster allocation.

Through in depth analysis of current workflows and evaluation of solutions, the team has developed a solution built upon Google application scripts. The solution system utilises optimisation methods for roster planning and allocation, which is supported by scripted processes to automate data transfer as well as leave approval.

This project would be of interest to managerial clinicians with staff planning responsibilities.
