Upon visiting labour ward 32 in KKH, we identified that nurses spend too much time repeating the same educational information to expecting mothers. This educational information was mandatory, and repeating this information for every expecting mother admitted was taking the nurses’ time away from more value-adding work. We propose to develop an application(TemiTeach) on the TEMI robot to autonomously deploy and play these educational videos without much action required from nurses. Nurses will no longer be involved with hand holding the TEMI robot as they move from bed to bed to play these educational videos.
