Details
In this game, your goal is to collect all the points placed around the map, while avoiding the various demons that will be chasing you.
Your gameplay will be altered by our "panic system", where a higher level of panic will make the entire game go faster, and therefore more hectic. Sounds and various effects are also affected by this panic system.
In order to keep your panic level low, you have to repeatedly synchronise your heartbeats to the circle in the centre. Failing to do so will result in an increase in panic!
Beware, as there are traps placed around the map that will increase your panic level! You never know what might be around the corner...
Fret not, as there are power ups around the map to help you when you need them. Our expandable mini-map will also guide you to unexplored areas of the map!
Team
"The Tell-Tale Heart" was developed by Indecisive Studios, consisting of:
Bobbie Soedirgo
Chin Synn Khee, Joash
Hoe Chan Wei, Daniel
Lim Ao Jun, Joel

as part of the term project for CS3247 (AY20/21, Semester 2) .
We drew our inspiration for this game from Pacman and Dark Deception. These games inspired us to implement something similar, while adding our own flair (the panic system and the beat system) to it.
Unreal Engine 4.24 was used to develop the game. Assets were obtained using the free megascans as provided by Epic Games, and a variety of other sources.
