Nurses often require prompt access to information regarding operational workflows and policies to provide the best possible patient care. However, it is time consuming to find the relevant information due to inefficiency of the intranet search system.

This project aims to improve information retrieval for nurses. The proposed solution, DocFetcher, is an application that swiftly searches local files of various formats using index-based search. Users input queries, receiving a ranked list of files. A preview of the selected file with highlighted matches streamlines information access, saving nurses time for other tasks. This solution can benefit other contexts requiring efficient document retrieval.
