The Oral Maxillofacial Surgery unit of National Dental Centre Singapore provides oral surgical services to several hospitals in Singapore. Currently, the clinicians’ rosters are managed arbitrarily by a single surgeon to ensure sufficient manpower deployment to the various hospitals. However, with the ever-changing COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines, the manpower distribution to the hospitals’ surgical units becomes increasingly complex and difficult to manage. The manual process of rostering every quarter is also time-consuming and complex.

Our team created an automated roster to streamline manpower distribution process, allowing the unit to perform efficiently and effectively. This eliminates human error in the rostering process, while being robust and fluid enough to respond efficiently to any changes in manpower needs.
