Tompang is a mobile application acting as a marketplace for Singaporean travelers. During their overseas trips, travelers can offer to buy back overseas products for interested buyers in Singapore. This project allows travelers to earn some extra income while they are on their trip. At the same time, it also offers Singaporeans the opportunity to either

1. purchase products from overseas without bearing expensive shipping costs or
2. purchase products that they would not have been able to purchase directly from Singapore.

Sellers have the flexibility to set their own prices and quantity, which allows them to have the autonomy to decide how much they want to earn. To ensure a secure payment, an in-person QR scanning system is required to complete the transaction between the buyer and seller.

Not only does it bring about convenience for Singaporeans, Tompang also reduces the carbon footprint with less delivery packaging of products. With international borders opening up once again, we hope that Tompang can help to connect Singaporeans and promote the kampong spirit among us.
